Cheesecloth 101 - Windswept Pine
Windswept Pine is the project I always use to introduce students to the joy of working with cheesecloth - you just can't go wrong with a tree. The branches can be placed any way you like and no one will ever know if you deviate from the original pattern. Like I said - forgiving!
I have structured this course into four sections, the first showing you how to colour your cheesecloth, the second how to "sculpt" cheesecloth into a tree shape, the third showing how to paint a background fabric "home" for your tree, and the fourth showing how to appliqué the cheesecloth to the background and ways you might want to finish your artwork.
